Bipin, The 6 AA batteries I used in my grip were not rechargables. They were good quality, single use NICa's(?), but not lithiums. The reason I picked up the two spare was to change from AA's to another camera battery in the grip. The grip came with two different battery carriers. Regards, Bob S.
