Bipin, I've got some 3rd party batteries in use with my K-5. I just bought 2 spares and still have an older one (K-7 spare?).
Battery power seems to be the first place to check for problems on the K-5. This is tricky because the battery can look OK - but not really... Turning the camera off and then back seems to give the battery a little boost. But then the problems return. I've encountered this even while using the battery grip with 6 NiCa's. The K-5 is picky about having enough power! This often catches me unaware, because the K-5 has long battery life. Compared to previous Pentax digitals, the K-5 is a poweer miser. So running out of juice is always a surprise. Regards, Bob S.
