The diesel, although bigger than 1300cc and heavier, gets 60-80mpg(imp)
but the only market for cars like this is outside the USA. Part of
this
will be due to the enhanced safety designing causing the door apertures
to be made smaller and therefore making it difficult for larger people
to enter.
