A Contax Aria will set you back around 900 euro; an RX, 1400 euro; and if you feel the need, an RTS III is 2600 euro. All prices are body only. The MZ-S can be had for just under 1000 euro.
Interestingly enough, the UK magazine Amateur Photographer reviewed the new Contax NX autofocus N-mount body this month, and at the end, the reviewer cited the MZ-S as its main competitor as he felt both were aimed at the "serious enthusiast" market. The NX is cheaper, but lacks a metal body, data imprinting, multiple exposure, and the ability to couple with a Pentax Limited lens ;-) -- Kristian On Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at 02:23 pm, Shel Belinkoff wrote: > I guess "Ouch!" is subjective.
