I also take some comfort in the fact that since the vast majority of the copies I print will be going as holiday gifts to family and friends, the audience will be about as uncritical and easily impressed as it gets. I've also learned a lot about using InDesign from this project, so that will be a big help when I start working on some of the more serious projects that I have in mind. > > technical notes: i worry about the bleed — you need to actually extend > backgrounds and photos beyond the margin to get a bleed to work, and i can't > tell that you've done that; if you have, some of your text may be too close > to the edge > > i think i see different shades of black in the backgrounds, so maybe you've > tackled this, but use caution butting "blackish" areas of photos against a > black background — generally a "rich" black will bet better in such cases I've mentioned my friend Candice before. Her profession is graphic design, so I also sent her a copy to get her feedback. Most of the deltas between 1 and 4 are from her suggestions. At some point she called me up and said, "just send me the files, I'll fix it". > > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
