haven't read it myself, but Real World InDesign CS5 is by people i correspond
with on an InDesign list and is well-recommended
some people like the Lynda.com videos, but i would start with Adobe's free
videos:

the blog in which the above is posted is a good source of online tips, but note
that InDesign is increasingly used for ebook production, so a lot of the info
is geared to that purpose
