Thanks on that. I considered Rega. The elegant simplicity certainly has appeal.

With Technics, apparently the cost of getting parts from suppliers in
low volumes, coupled with the overall decline of vinyl (though there's
a resurgence), coupled with the poor economy led to the business
decision to shut down the line.

The turntable arrived a day early. Getting it set up this morning.
