One other factor, I'm betting. Technics' sales had been buoyed by the
club DJ business for the last 15 years or so. But lately even the DJs
are moving to digital audio. You can do mixing, scratching etc. from
an iPad now. Once a few big name producers embrace something, they all
do.

That may dampen the vinyl upsurge too. But there seems to be a move
among 20-somethings to adopt LP records as an alternative to the MP3's
they grew up with. [Boy it made me feel old to write that last
sentence. :-) ]
