I spoke with the owner of an Authorized Pentax Dealer camera store this morning and he is having an in-store event in Sept. and said that he expects to have a new Pentax DSLR model there (live an in person) to show. He also told me that the K-5 has not been officially discontinued yet and that he thought it would exist side by side with its replacement for a while, like the K-x did when the K-r was introduced. I did not press him for details but talked a lot with him about other things. I might just pop in for another conversation soon.
Interestingly, this guy is also close to turning on a new film processing lab.
