Quoting Boris Liberman <[email protected]>:

Daniel, I've been blogging on Google Blogger for since 2006:

1. It is free.
2. You can have multiple blogs for different themes.
3. You can adopt any of the templates that they have which I believe would satisfy your requirements for each of the blogs you indicated.

I am not sure how to import your blog into Blogger but I hope there're ways. Other than that - my vote is for Blogger at least from convenience standpoint.

I don't know if this is a specific problem in my part of the world but I'm having all sorts of problems getting Blogger to work effectively.

As I mentioned in my previous reply to Dan, I set up a Blogger account to test if it is preferable to Wordpress.com. The problem is that I'm finding Blogger almost unusable because it is so frustratingly slow. It's taking ages to load the dashboard (sometimes several minutes or it will just stop loading completely) and doing any editing is a real test of patience - and I'm quickly running out of that.

The problem isn't solely restricted to Blogger. Recently I've found Picasa almost equally frustrating. Is anyone else seeing this? Is this a Google.au problem?

Cheers

Brian

I need to move my old general photography blog and my diner blog. I
also want to finally put up a travel blog that I have been working on
for years. The photo blog would involve just images and captions, the
diner blog images plus relatively short paragraphs of text, and the
travel blog will be mostly text with a few images.

What are people here using that they like and recommend?

TIA, Dan
