I'll keep testing Blogger for the next few weeks but it looks like
I'll be sticking with Wordpress unless some dramatic improvement in
responsiveness occurs with Blogger.

Sounds like it, Brian. I don't seem to have any speed issues
whatsoever. It is not lightning fast, but it is not slow either.
