Maybe I'm old school.  When I shot dancers with the 'blad (80mm) last month,
knowing the flash output I kept a near fixed distance from the action.  That
way the focus did not have to change.  4 of 11 shots were presentable.
The non-presentable images were on account of the blad not being a
not-at-all good camera for action shooting.

This Friday I'm going to take the K5 to our weekly "practice party" and get
some actions shots at different distances and use my shoe-mount p-ttl flash.
That should give me a good idea what's going in a different type of studio
setting where AF is apparently needed.
