It has been repeatedly said in this Forum and by many great Photographers, that it's not the Gear, rather the Photographer's skill and his understanding and mastery of his Gear. We can go on whining and whining, and blaming our Gear, when we know that today's Cameras and lenses are a masterpiece - whether Pentax, Nikon, Sony, Canon etc. Emphasis: Like all things electronics, Digital Cameras will get better and better, so that (50) years later we will still have Photographers whining and whining about their gear. Armed with a K20D, I went around the world shooting some memorable travel photos. I did have problems, like the one I posted here. I just could not shoot fill flash photos without blowing out the background at the Colosseum in Rome with the K20D. Until I saw a recent video on how to - very basic and simplistic. Hey guys, Gears will have shortcomings, like us human beings, just that we have to give it a handicap and work around it. Now I have a K-5 with some other handicaps, but I keep smiling and keep shooting. And I am not a Pro, just a good enthusiast. Regards. Bipin - from that far away enchanting land.
