Thank you Jerome for your answer, and the links to the PDML archives. I find it to be a good idea to make a FAQ for the PDML. But a lot of work to build it up. It has been mentioned on the www.pdml.net home page. Thanks to your contribution I realized that this thread (28-70 or 28-105 or 24-90) has become a really old story, almost the same as the <50mm f/1,7 or 50mm f/1,4> question, also mentioned in the PUG home page.
I think I will go for the FA 28-70 f/4 AL.
