That's what I thought you were looking for. I just like my P&S to be in the 
same system as my main cameras. (Well, actually, my P&S is a Leica X2 which 
performs on par with most "main" cameras. ;-)

I disagree, but it's just a point of opinion.

Funny, but the prices on the VF-2 are all higher than I paid for mine new a 
year back ($190 from the local camera shop). Wonder what's driving that? 
However, for a 17mm lens on a Pen, an optical 35mm viewfinder works great ... 
just set the AF to Face Detect and let it do its thing. It will be right on the 
money 99% of the time. I bought a used 35mm OVF for $60 before I spent the bux 
for a new Voigtländer a couple of years ago. (That's what I use on the X2 quite 
a lot of the time.)
