Yes, that's why I recommended the P7100 (which someone else also recommended), the P7800, or the DMC-LF1 -- all of which have large-ish sensors for P&S (1/1.7") for better low-light performance, some kind of viewfinder, and long-ish zooms for compact camera (28-200mm/e). The P7800 isn't actually available yet (early next month) if you're in a hurry. The X-5 really is NOT what you want if you want something small, plus its sensor is smaller than the high-end compacts with shorter zooms.
