Budget is an > issue - so I can't do all at once. Go for the lens if you are staying with 35mm. The body doesn't matter a whit. The M85mm f/2 is a nice portrait lens. May I ask, what lens have you got right now? I think I would go medium format befor I went digital. I still don't really like the look of digital capture for prints. But that is just me.
