The Xenar is considered by many to be on the lower rungs of the Rollei lens ladder. And the age of the lens indicates that the coating may have been substantially inferior to later coatings.
It would be interesting to compare lenses of similar quality, like the Xenotar and the Planar, with the equivalent Pentax focal lengths.
