Aperture.

Of course, you can use focal-length / f-stop, but that is really just
another way of expressing aperture.

As I have mentioned in the many DOF discussions on this list the only things
that affects DOF are aperture and magnification. All the other values are
just more complicated ways of expressing those two values. This assumes, of
course, that we are using the same value for circle of confusion (typically
0.01 inches on an 8x10 print viewed at 10 inches). Why everyone wants to
discuss DOF on the negative is beyond me, ever see a negative mounted on the
wall?
