Has it > been fixed with the Z-1p? > > I've read this page before. I've had my PZ-1 for six years, and never noticed exposure inaccuracy with it. I've used it with Pentax autofocus fixed-length and zoom lenses, off-brand auto-focus zoom lenses, and Pentax manual-focus fixed-length lenses. About a year ago I asked my friendly local repair guy to check my PZ-1 for accuracy since I'd never had it serviced and was preparing to run some slide film comparisons using the PZ-1 and the LX. He tested its meter and shutter speeds and declared both to be spot on. That said, I will admit two things that may account for the difference between this man's experience and mine. First, is that I never used a Pentax KA *zoom* lens with my PZ-1 (I've never owned one), so if the Pentax KA zoom lenses were the only ones with which the PZ-1 was incompatible, I wouldn't have run into the problem. Second, my PZ-1 was purchased new after the model was discontinued. His cameras were probably built earlier than mine. It's possible that Pentax did discover, and quietly fix, the problem (without admitting it!) during production of this model.
