I've shot hundreds of rolls with the Pz-1p and A* 200 f4, A* 400 f2.8, A*
300 f4, and Kiron 105 f2.8 lenses with no problems. But - I have generally
avoided evaluative metering on the theory that it was calibrated for print
film and would overexpose by a stop. Using CW metering was largely inspired
by the page you cite, and discussion on this list. Until recently, I
thought the author of that page just misinterpreted a tendency by the Pz-1
to over expose slightly when set to evaluative metering.

Ironically, I thought about that page just a couple days ago. I had been
out shooting blackbirds on a sunny day, getting the best shots in mid
morning about 3 hours after sun up. The birds were sitting in direct sun on
light colored reeds. I usually avoid the evaluative metering on the Pz-1p,
but I guess I've been spoiled by the Mz-S. I set the camera on evaluative
metering and shot away with an A* 400 f2.8, 1.7x AF converter, and AF400FTZ
flash. Film was Kodak E100S. Exposure was set straight from the meter and
flash was a -0.7 TTL

As I drove home I recalled the page you cite and list discussion about how
the Pz-1p overexposed when set to evaluative and did the Homer Simpson
forehead slap (DOH!) Oh well, there's always tomorrow...

Here's one shot from that morning -

The light is a little hard, but I think the metering worked OK.

Personally, I have more confidence it the metering ability of this camera
than ever.
