Yes, it has been discussed here several times over the years, and yes, I've 
experience problems with two A lenses with the Z-1p. And no, I don't 
remember anymore the exact situation this occurred but I remember that the 
camera overexposed when using these two A lenses, the A35/2.8 and A 24/2.8, 
but worked perfectly with all other A lenses I owned. I think it only 
happened in matrix mode. Some did suggest back then that this was due to 
light fall-off at the corners fooling the matrix metering. With FA lenses 
the camera take light fall-off into consideration as it this data is 
incorporated into the lens CPU. This seems to me to be a reasonable 
explanation.

Nobody has ever reported the same problem as that South African guy so I 
guess his camera was malfunctioning.
