I've not looked at the features and models Wacom currently offers. I
stopped reading the materials when the wireless Intuos5 was being
marketed so heavily. I'll share some of the things I've experienced
with older models.

1) I prefer the ergonomics of the Intuos3 tablets over the Intuos4.
The standard Intuos4 and Intuos5 pen are thick/stubby. (There is an
alternative they'll sell you for a princely sum.)
2) IMO, the Express keys of the Intuos3 are more convenient than the
controls on Intuos4, although I do like some aspects of the newer
controls. (The preference could be attributed to familiarity.)
3) Doing quick edits, the smaller tablet is okay. For extended edit
sessions, I would rather use the larger tablets because I don't have
to keep repositioning on the tablet to compensate for the larger
screen size.

Something you may wish to consider before making a decision: will you
need to take it with you on trips? The degree of portability you
require could be a factor. I ruined my first Intuos3 (6x8) by using it
on my lap; I broke the cable where it entered the tablet.

An Intuos3 9x12 and an Intuos4 Large live side-by-side on my desk;
they are attached to the former editing box and my current editing
work horse. An Intuos3 6x9 is connected to the laptop unless there's
no way to comfortably use it. (I've learned my lesson regarding the
cords.)

IIRC, Intuos4 and later models have USB connectors so cords are easily replaced.

Only two of the Intuos tablets I've purchased have been new. The
others have either been from eekb*y or from another photographer.

Hope the rambling helps.

Happy shopping!
