I hate to paint with abroad brush, but as a past owner of a 1979 MGB

to be Good Guys while the Porsche owners tend generally to be mostly
assholes. I feel similarly about comparing the Pentax owners I've
known to the Leica owners I've known. As they say, "Your mileage may
vary".

Which brings up the old saw about the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine.

My '69 MGBGT is languishing, waiting for me to finish this round of home repairs so I can resume putting her back together. I had to take the motor apart before it engaged in some spontaneous rapid disassembly, and every time I start working on it, something comes up. It's been so long that a whole bunch of things that didn't need to be done when I started the project, now need to be done.

She's a lot of fun when she's running though:

I'd love to find a decent, modern 1400cc motor that I could drop into one.

Then again, they probably think of Pentax owners the way that Porsche
owners
used to think of the people who drove MGs.
