i would be much happier with a use tax than a flat subscription fee; i'm a relatively light user, but unfortunately i do need Acrobat Pro, Photoshop and InDesign on occasion
the subscription is a pittance for corporate users and full time pros, but for me it can in effect cost me $5-10 every time i fire up one of the apps, where a heavy user might pay $0.25/hour
