i don't have numbers, but i don't think that's the subscription's advantage for Adobe; i think the advantage is cash flow and roping in the users who would otherwise skip versions; the infrastructure for license verification and updates, plus the cloud storage features, and keeping user data safe (at which they've already failed once) is actually fairly messy and probably expensive; i think Adobe's acquisitions of more than one company were steps on the path to building this infrastructure


Now, I understand, having pushed most of the customers down the subscription
route, it becomes our fault. I read that over 50% of custom is via this
subscription method a while back, so they are only supplying what the market
wants. Thanks for that.

an observation to keep in mind to help grapple with the cognitive dissonance
