Meg had a MacBook (their low-end laptop). Three years old, two years past any warranty. It started to make too much noise, overheat. Took it to the Apple store. They replaced the fan. No charge. Still had overheating problems. They replaced the motherboard (which included the fan controller). No charge. Problem fixed. At this point I have been a Mac user for 30 years, an iPhone user for 6-7 years, an iPad user for 3-4 years. And an Apple Watch user for 6 months or so. They all just work, and work well together. I will admit to being a bit baffled sometimes by the effects of random unintended finger movements on the iOS devices! And I agree with Cotty that the iPhone 6 is a bit too large; I’ll switch to the newly released downsized version as soon as it is economically feasible. But other than that I am a happy customer (and shareholder). Side note: when I upgraded my iPad last fall, I went through the process of cleaning out the old one, so it behaved as a like-new machine when turning it on. That one went to a six-year-old grand-nephew for Christmas. He had no problem getting it up and running. stan -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
