That's still an anti-inflammatory drug in the same class as Ibuprofen so
I'd be reluctant to use it but, as you say, probably OK for short term
relief.  Currently I've been prescribed Tramadol hydrochloride for quick
relief and it works well - but, again, not something that can be
constantly used.

I hadn't known about those but I have a heat pack that works well (heat
in microwave).  I'll check Thermacare out - looks promising.
