Brian - you didn't hijack Christine's post - you stayed on topic... :-) That is, in the same "off topic" topic so...

I should look up Tramdol Hydrochloride for future reference.... but happily all my joints are feeling pretty good in

this warm dry weather we are having ehre now

Brian _ I'm on bp meds and take ALEVE (Naproxin sodium) ... not good for
chronic situation but very good for short term.

That's still an anti-inflammatory drug in the same class as Ibuprofen so
I'd be reluctant to use it but, as you say, probably OK for short term
relief. Currently I've been prescribed Tramadol hydrochloride for quick
relief and it works well - but, again, not something that can be
constantly used.

though I use it for my knees these days... what about Thermacare pads?

I hadn't known about those but I have a heat pack that works well (heat
in microwave). I'll check Thermacare out - looks promising.

I didn't really mean to hijack Christine's thread like this but there's
been some good advice - so, thanks all!!

Cheers

I have one word for all you back pain suffers - Ibuprofen (800mg). Works
wonders for me. Better than a gin gimlet !
Unless you are also on medication to reduce blood pressure (as I am). In
that case, Iboprofen can decrease kidney function and is not recommended
(sadly...)

Thanks for that. I'll take a look later today once this morning's pain
subsides - which actually wasn't too bad :-)

Christine and Yolanda - hope your pain is subsiding.
