Lately, i’ve been experiencing bright reds in overexposed white-ish areas in images in LR and bright-blue in underexposed black-ish areas. I’m always able to eliminate the latter by backing off the black in tone controls. Most of the time I can do the same with the former by backing off the highlights or white, but increasingly frequently It seems I unable to eliminate the bright reds no matter how much I back off highlights or white.
So, a couple questions: Why am I seeing this recently when I don’t think I ever did in the past? Is there anything I can do to eliminate the brightness reds other than backing off highlights and white in tone controls? A couple of things that may be involved. It may be that this started when I started shooting with a Fuji X-M1 mirrorless. Second, even in low-light settings I’ve been shooting at low levels of sensitivity—no more than 800—and then adjusting exposure in processing. Education appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric Weir Decatur, GA USA [email protected] “There have to be many commonly accepted truths before we can raise the possibility of error.” - Richard Rorty -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
