It the problem suddenly started happening I wonder if it could be related to color management settings. Maybe the monitor's profile was inadvertently changed? Does it only happen with images from the Fuji?

Lately, i’ve been experiencing bright reds in overexposed white-ish areas in
images in LR and bright-blue in underexposed black-ish areas. I’m always able
to eliminate the latter by backing off the black in tone controls. Most of the
time I can do the same with the former by backing off the highlights or white,
but increasingly frequently It seems I unable to eliminate the bright reds no
matter how much I back off highlights or white.

So, a couple questions: Why am I seeing this recently when I don’t think I ever
did in the past? Is there anything I can do to eliminate the brightness reds
other than backing off highlights and white in tone controls?

A couple of things that may be involved. It may be that this started when I
started shooting with a Fuji X-M1 mirrorless. Second, even in low-light
settings I’ve been shooting at low levels of sensitivity—no more than 800—and
then adjusting exposure in processing.

Education appreciated.
