Thanks, Ken. I confess I don’t understand the histogram very well and have not tried to make use of it. In light of your suggestion I took at look at Lightroom’s version of it and played around with it a little. Didn’t make much progress sorting it out. At the moment it seems a more complicated, perhaps more sophisticated, way of doing what I do by manipulating Lightroom’s tone controls.
