That's a very good point, Ann. <sarcasm on> Perhaps a multi-battery system would be the modern answer. One battery to operate the shutter, one for the meter and various functions, and one to wind and rewind and rewind the film, one for the focusing, one to adjust strap tension, and a final battery to aid in removal of the lens cap and hood. After all, if one battery is good, more must be better. <sarcasm off>
