It appears that quite a lot of us have been cooking recently.
I've been experimenting, trying to re-create a biscuit (or cookie)
that I remember from my youth - McVitie's "Abbey Crunch".
I found a recipe on the web, but it wasn't quite right, so I've
been adjusting it (and also reducing the amount of sugar - maybe
my taste has changed over the years). The recipe did have one
important ingredient called out, though - Lyle's Golden Syrup.

I've also tried a couple of other biscuits - a coffee-flavoured
biscuit with chocolate chips (and, sometimes, macadamia nuts),
and a shortbread biscuit with dried cranberries and candied peel.

The next time I have all three varieties available I'll try to
remember to put some on a plate and take a picture of them.
They're definitely not low-calorie, though - just about every
recipe seems to start off with 4 oz of butter plus the sugar!
