Are you talking about the A100mm f/2.8 macro or the autofocus one? My PUG picture this month is a portrait shot with the A100mm f/2.8 macro. It's a pretty good portrait lens, actually. Until I got the 77mm, I hadn't seen a lens with higher resolution and contrast than the A100mm f/2.8 macro. The 77 may be sharper/contrastier.
