You cannot really compare focus speed in this way anyway. What you are comparing is often the gearing of the lens focusing systems. Manufacturers may use different priorities on different lenses. I believe that comparing the speed on something like a 50/1.4, since most of them are of very similar constructions, has the potential of giving the most meaningful datas to judge the cameras real relative focus speed.
