I am one who had two PZ-1ps for a couple of years and now have an MZ-S. Like Mark, I found both interfaces very usable. I found the most annoying thing on the PZ-1p to be that you would commonly leave the lens on A and use the dials to control aperture/shutter. But that friggin DOF button being mechanical requires you to quit using the dial and set the aperture with the ring on the lens thus negating the interface. I also found the PZ-1p body more tiring to hold - a bit too fat in the grip area.
Both are great cameras. I wasn't unhappy with my PZ-1p's and I'm not unhappy with my MZ-S now. What I really love is my 67II!
