I am one who had two PZ-1ps for a couple of years and now have an
MZ-S.  Like Mark, I found both interfaces very usable.  I found the
most annoying thing on the PZ-1p to be that you would commonly leave
the lens on A and use the dials to control aperture/shutter.  But that
friggin DOF button being mechanical requires you to quit using the
dial and set the aperture with the ring on the lens thus negating the
interface.  I also found the PZ-1p body more tiring to hold - a bit
too fat in the grip area.

Both are great cameras.  I wasn't unhappy with my PZ-1p's and I'm not
unhappy with my MZ-S now.

What I really love is my 67II!
