Hi,
My partner and I will be moving back to PDX soon and I was wondering
what our options were WRT getting internet connectivity. I've gotten
spoiled with DSL and that's probably all I'll consider. The cheaper
the better: all we need is the 256kbps pipe. Also, a bundled deal
(phone + DSL) would be prefered if cheaper than getting them separately.

Cheers,
Beaker

I ditched the lan-phone years ago for a cellphone..so dsl is not something I consider... so I can't help you with advice there.

However, I have had comcast cable internet since the summer of 2000 here (was att&t back then). They have recently up'd the upstream and it I seem to get better speeds than my DSL friends. Approx $50/month (depending on specials, renting modem and such).

Haven't had any major issues with them...very little downtime and they can install you pretty quickly.

my 3 cents,

-Robby
