Wouldn't it cancel DRC when you press 'ESC' key during the DRC check. It needs a while to stop the process, especially if the polygons are large, but it does it eventually.

Another good advice, coming from this forum, is to set the polygon track width to a large value while you are laying out the tracks, so that polygons are not poured. Change the polygon track width back to your preferred value once you finished with tracks and DRC will check it only once, saving you a lot of time.

Well now that's another mystery to me JaMi. That one comes and goes for me - and I still don't know why!! I assume you speak of the final stages of editing where large polygons are used as power planes. I have done a few large artworks of this type where none of this waiting..waiting business occurs but others where it drives me crazy-er!

Anyone out there know how to stop the problem when it comes up or is it just something we are forced to live with? The most irritating aspect of it is that even with live DRC switched off it still happens.

Still on 99SE and haven't had it for a while tho'.
