Although I said I'd give you the last word, I would like to add just one
thought.

I recall that Joe Ransdell, the creator and first moderator of this forum,
as well as being the architect and coordinator of the website, Arisbe (a
work which Ben Udell has so ably continued following Joe's death several
years ago), suggested to me off list on the occasion of my *truly* needing
to publicly apologize to a list member, that doing so was a *good thing*:
that not everyone is capable of apologizing when an apology is in order,
and that being able to do so is a strong suggestion of a person's
character.

So, while I do not think that in this present case that an apology was
necessary, I very much appreciate your offering it, and not just to me, but
also to the list.
