I see where Sandwichman feels put upon about this comparison. I can understand his umbrage. We have had shallow grounds to work upon for quite awhile. So he feels a bit of energy to bring up what he has considered for a long time. And he has some interesting points that could be developed in a big political sense.

Your point though has weight with it also. I think defining how to do intellectual work that matters is an important part of the coming period. These lists do not provide adequate quality control over what is said. The collaborative process to build could be a huge step forward in providing the left with solid information. I feel like you both have good points in other words.
