Got my Zen player back, (yes the exact player that I returned on Sunday LOL)
its definately MTP because it says so when you install the drivers in
Windows. However in ubuntu 7.04 - I installed gnomad2 and plugged the
device in then ran "gnomad2" from the CLI.
When the gui comes up it pops up saying "No jukeboxes found on USB bus"
...and I get this in the CLI if its any help... (and yes...the device WAS
plugged in LOL before you ask)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gnomad2
No MTP devices. <- That was when it first started up
PDE device NULL.
PDE device NULL.
No MTP devices. <- These three lines appeared when I tried to re-scan
(Jukebox Library > Rescan Contents)
gnomad2 is talking out of its backside this is deffinatelly an MTP player...
If no joy anyone I can live with it in windows for now, I'll bring it along
to the January Meeting, but Tony if you have any ideas, please let me know
and I'll try it. Cheers.#
UPDATE : halfway through this email I has the genius idea of trying to run
"sudo gnomad2" rather than plain old gnomad2, and its doing
something......ahh bugger still saying no jukeboxes found on usb bus -
output pasted below if it means anything to anyone?
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo gnomad2

I'm guessing I have to give some numbers or something to libmtp team, does
anyone know how to do this and what / who to send to?
