Well, the stuff around the wiki status board is pretty new and I don't think anyone feels that it's set in stone yet. The thing we don't want to compromise on, IMHO, is that the long-term record of what's happened is in the mailing list archives and *not* in the internal state of some tool we happen to be using. (One obvious reason for not compromising on that is that we'd be locked into whatever tool we first pick.)
