Reference the Frow New book page 280 the horn was first used in 1923 and the first records made using it were rejected for echo problems, but this was later corrected by placing cardboard baffles in the horn. Ernest Stevens maintained the 125 foot horn gave a more mellow and full-bodied tone than the regular sized horn.
