Hello: I have my 78 rpm styli checked under a microscope at a nearby repair shop, and it's very clear there is wear, at times major wear, with shellac discs. Please explain how it can be otherwise?
While on the subject, had a brand new diamond point placed on a DD reproducer, but it puts out much, much less than an orginal needle. Any ideas? Is there a solution? Any new-old stock around? Tnx & Rgds. Doug --
