I rebuilt a DD Reproducer a few months back with a NOS stylus and new gaskets that I bought at Wyatt's. I used one of Greg B's diaphragms in the rebuild as well.
It sounds great and I see no indication of record wear or damage since the rebuild. My experience was a good one with Wyatt's. Is there a solution? Any new-old stock around? This is one of the biggest problems I've faced over the years with DD machines. Styli vary wildly, in sound quality, record wear, and volume. I've read that Wyatt's Musical Americana stocks NOS ones for DD's, but I have no idea how good they are.
