C'mon......... Anyone with knowledge of phono prices wouldn't pay $1000.+ for a VV-IX. Unless it was Eldridge's personal machine!

I have been at tons of auctions where the local yuppie couple thinks a phonograph would look great in their living room and grossly over pay for it. For that matter I have seen antique dealers (not phonograph dealers) grossly overpay at auctions. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: "Antique Phonograph List" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 28, 2006 4:00 PM Subject: Re: [Phono-L] I smell a rat..................... > BTW........... > > Does anyone here have AIM instant messaging or Yahoo instant messaging? > It would be a good format to discuss issues, items for sale, etc. > immediately. > > Bill (my AIM name is amberloa30) > > -------------- Original message -------------- > From: "Vince C." <[email protected]> > >> I agree with both of you and have contacted under bidders as well when I >> have the same item.
