Wow! $104 bucks for that cylinder? Could you tell us which version of that song
it was? I have that selection by J.W. Myers on a Columbia 2 minute cylinder,
but probably the Billy Murray version on Edison is more desirable? Not that I
would ever sell this gem though.

Bob,

I never planned to get involved, as I already have one. My bitch is that these
things get artificially inflated. The old axiom is, "the value is what a person
is willing to pay". This is nonsense, as it makes it very hard to actually put
a value on an item. Do we just put a machine out at a show with a blank tag?
No, we don't. Let's put it this way..........if that machine really went for
1,000. Doesn't it stand to reason than subsequent machines go for that dollar
amount? Victor manufactured 569,394 of these machines, one of their most common
machines. Look at the buyer's feedback, not one machine or even a 78. I've
seen this seller around for as long as I've been on Ebay. Big deal...he'll pay
hundreds of dollars for a Diamond Disc that he wants. Is that record really
worth it, then if you can buy it the next week for 20.00? Fluctuation in the
several dollars range is normal.........but over $600.00 for a common machine?
You'll never convince me.

Bill
