Also, in your code, couldn't you eliminate all the trouble you go through
with the error handling and say:

$handle = OCILogon("scott","tiger") or die("<b>Error:
".ocierror($handle)."</b>");
?>

Then again, I'm not an Oracle expert or anything, but it just makes more
sense to do it that way... please correct me if that's an invalid statement.

It seems that you must include support of oracle functions (special module)
in your configuration file. In windows it is php.ini file.
