as far as I remember, the pear installer has not been working on windows
since 4.2.0 !
so maybe it would be time to start testing it with 4.2.3 !
I guess the worst thing that could happen is to have the pear installer
still not work with 4.2.3 ! :)
but maybe there also a chance it finally works ...
it looks like the PEAR team has made a great job and I would really
apreciate testing the packages that have been published for several months
... but are still not installable !
